Nice Day, but getting frustrated.....Been here over a week...

The pace of work post accident is very slow... Great times in Charleston, but I am starting to get antsy.

The dinghy is off being patched - we should see that back on Friday - same with the dinghy engine.  Will be back Friday.  I spun the boat around on Monday here at the dock and the yard looked again at the damage (this should have happened a week ago...).  The Kato Davit arms (both) are bent as well as the separator bars between the davits.  One of the Harken blocks is twisted as well. I am sitting at the nav station waiting for the second welder to come look and give an assessment, then the yard is going to disassemble the whole kit and kaboodle today and give the bent parts to the welder.  The insurance guy from Progressive is then going to tell the yard if they can replace the davits or if the welder should straighten the parts, polish them and re-install.  It's 1415 and still no welder here.....Grrrrr.

Lex and the kids are going to town for groceries and other stuff while I grind my teeth waiting for yard guys.

Additionally, the water leak that we're experiencing seems to be worse today and last night.  We need to determine where it is (seems back at the rudder post) and if it was the fault of the accident or not.  I'm quite worried that we'll be in a finger pointing exercise at that point...  We'll see.  Need to keep my Type A cool here and roll with it.  At least we aren't paying the dock bill.

Found a local guy here that seems to have found a hard vang for us for fairly short money.  Looks good.  No more crappy sail shape off the wind for Zusammen.

I'm going to get into the Nevrdull and make my stanchions look pretty while I wait.  Nice day here around 75 or so.  Hope y'all in New England have that snow shoveled up.  ;-)
